It is with great pleasure that we bring you another season of wonderful string music and extraordinary soloists! To help us open our 24th Season we welcome one of the greatest double bass players of our time and a winner of the 2007 Avery Fisher Career grant, DaXun Zhang, who brings his sparkling virtuosity to our stage in September. Our December concert will be something very special, including both poetry and photography to celebrate the season and warm our spirits. In March, the Gold Medalist at the inaugural Christopher Parkening International Guitar Competition, Spanish guitarist Pablo Sáinz Villegas, joins us for a concert of brilliant guitar music, and in May we welcome the winner of the SOR Concerto Competition as our guest soloist. As always, we have something for everyone. I know you will enjoy our music this Season, and I look forward to having you join us.
Musically Yours, Johan Jonsson Artistic Director
